Why Mother.Sister.Friend.?
“I know how it feels to go unseen and unheard in the healthcare system. I also know how impactful it is to be truly supported. I founded Mother.Sister.Friend. especially for Black women/birthing folks to experience care that feels like a mother’s love, a sister’s protection, and a friend’s steady hand. Here at MSF, we are committed to rebuilding a sense of community and combating the urgent crisis in Black maternal health with intention and action. We walk alongside families as collaborators, advocates, and witnesses- holding space, sharing knowledge, and helping parents feel confident in making the best decisions for them.”
— Brittany Ladoula, founder of Mother.Sister.Friend., mother, advocate, lactation counselor, and full-spectrum doula.
Mother.Sister.Friend.® is a proud LGBTQ+ affirming space. If you participate in or celebrate the oppression of any group of people, I am not the doula for you. Please seek care, community, and information elsewhere.
